Integration Architect / Lead
About Curoflow
Curoflow is building the operating system for European private healthcare. Our platform gives SME clinics everything they need to run their practice — from digital patient intake and video consultations to EHR, e-prescriptions, lab integrations, and AI-powered clinical support — in a single, CE-marked, GDPR-compliant solution.
We are 25 people today, operating customers across 9 geographic markets and we are getting ready to scale to ~70 employees across 5 core markets — and beyond — within ~18 months.
We Are Hiring Across the Organisation
This job ad is one of many we are releasing simultaneously. We are building multiple teams in parallel — product, engineering, commercial, operations, and leadership — as we enter the most defining chapter in our company’s history.
While we are publishing these roles now (May 2026), we expect most hires for this wave to begin working between September and November 2026. We will take the time we need to find the right person for each role. We would rather wait for the right fit than rush to fill a seat.
What Kind of Person We Are Looking For
Let’s keep it simple. Curoflow is a start-up that will be having growth pains — with everything that entails. You will be judged first and foremost by your character. If you are applying for this job thinking it is just any other job, you would be wrong.
We will demand a growth mindset and someone who is deeply committed to our goals. You will be compensated accordingly, but we must stress that we are looking for the type of person whose motivation primarily comes from earning stock options and being part of building a great company.
In return you will get that rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that can mark a lifelong memory of what you were part of building.
The Role: Integration Architect / Lead
Curoflow operates across multiple European healthcare markets, each with its own lab systems, e-prescription networks, billing providers, and clinical registries. The Integration Architect is the person who turns this complexity into a repeatable, scalable pattern.
You will design and own Curoflow’s Integration SDK — the shared framework that allows our market-specific integration engineers to connect any new country’s health infrastructure in weeks, not months. You will set the architectural standards, define the API contracts, and ensure that every integration we build follows a modular, testable, and maintainable pattern.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will review code, and mentor the integration engineers who join for each new market. Together with a dedicated "API-team", you will also ensure third-party developers can build on Curoflow’s integration layer. You report to the CTO and work closely with Product Managers, Country Managers and the Head of Quality to ensure every integration meets regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do
First 6–12 Months
• Audit existing integrations (labs, e-Rx, accounting) and refactor into the modular Integration SDK pattern
• Define the standard integration architecture: adapter pattern, error handling, retry logic, data mapping, and monitoring
• Build the Integration SDK that market engineers will use to implement country-specific integrations
• Lead the Denmark and UK integration efforts alongside dedicated market integration engineers
• Establish integration testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for integration modules
• Create documentation and onboarding materials so new integration engineers can be productive within their first sprint
• Collaborate with the Open APIs team to ensure third-party developers can build on Curoflow’s integration layer
As We Scale (12–24 Months)
• Extend the SDK to support the self-service integration marketplace (plug-and-play activation by clinic owners)
• Onboard and mentor integration engineers for several new country market entries
• Reduce new-market integration time from 8 weeks to 3 weeks through SDK maturity and pattern reuse
• Own the integration partner relationships from a technical perspective — lab providers, e-Rx networks, billing systems, etc
Who You Are
• 7+ years in software engineering with at least 3 years focused on integrations, APIs, or platform architecture
• Deep experience designing and building integration frameworks, SDKs, or middleware in a multi-system environment
• Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7 FHIR, DICOM, or similar) is a significant advantage
• Experience with multi-market or multi-tenant architectures where the same platform serves different regulatory environments
• Hands-on knowledge: you don't necessarily write production code, but your knowledge is such so that you could do it
• Track record of mentoring engineers and establishing technical standards that others follow
• Fluent English; experience working with distributed teams across European markets
Preferably
• Direct experience with Nordic or European healthcare integrations (Swedish 1177/Inera, Danish Sundhedsdatastyrelsen and similar)
• Background in healthtech, medtech, or other regulated software environments
• Experience with event-driven architectures, message queues, and asynchronous integration patterns
Why This Role Matters
Every new dedicated market Curoflow enters depends on integrations working reliably from day one. You are the person who determines whether we can enter a new country in 3 weeks or 3 months. You will also be highly important to ensure third-party developers can build on Curoflow’s integration layer.
This role is the technical backbone of our European expansion.
What We Offer
• A high-impact role where your work directly shapes how Curoflow scales across Europe
• Real ownership — you will own your domain, not just execute someone else’s plan
• Direct access to leadership and the ability to influence product and company direction
• A product and mission that genuinely matters — we are making healthcare more accessible across Europe
• Equity participation (stock options) post probation period, because we want everyone to share in what we are building
• A collaborative, low-ego culture where people care deeply about what they’re building
• Expected start date: September–November 2026
How to Apply
Send your CV and a short cover letter explaining why this role excites you. We value substance over polish — tell us what you’ve built, not just where you’ve worked.
FYI: We are hiring for many roles simultaneously and are committed to finding the right person for each one — not the fastest. Please bear with us if our response times are longer than usual; we promise every application will be reviewed.
